So the other day I was reading through chapter one and I noticed that it was... not great,.. If you have read my previous devlogs then you would probably know that I'm not too proud of chapter one and I've wanted to rewrite it for a while. last week I decided to take the plunge and do it. Chapter one is getting a full rewrite form the ground up. I've already started the writing and so far I have 6 pages of my google doc filled. I also have other things to announce. First of all: I wanna make a discord server. It would let me communicate with the 5 people who are fans of this game and it would let me announce things outside of the monthly devlogs. Second (this is much bigger) Powder will be getting a full makeover. His sprites have been fully redone and I've started going back and making different poses for each characters sprites. I've only done Adiens angry sprite so far but I wanna get a couple done before the remake of chapter one releases. One of the main reasons why I'm remaking it is because it is the first thing that anyone will see when they start the game and thats BAD. Chapter one is so horrible... The dialogue is stiff, the pacing is bad, and worst of all my descriptions actually made me scream when I read some. WHY DID I USE "then" LIKE 1000 TIMES?????? MOST OF THE TIME ITS NOT EVEN GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT :(((((((

Anyways... Since it is the first thing that new players read they get greeted by actual shit. And who would want to read further if the start is awful? Nobody. I basically get one shot at grabbing the readers attention and if I fail then I lost a player and a fan. And its most likely that they wont give it another shot. I've already failed a ton of readers and I want to stop that as soon as possible. 

Also chapter 4 is going well, I'm about halfway done the writing but it's gunna take a bit longer since I'm remaking chapter one but I feel like this is worth it. But trust me, chapter 4 is actually good I've really enjoyed writing it and I'm exited to finish it. Also when the remake comes out I will put a summary of the chapter for those who already read chapter one and dont wanna do it again (none of the major plot points will be changed)
